Announcing Te Tohu O Te Aratai College: Logo For Te Aratai College

In term one the Board of Trustees and Principal shared with our community our new tohu/logo.

The 11 slides, in the link below, explain its meaning and deep connection to our community. We are very grateful to the designer, Morgan Mathews-Hale, both for her deep understanding of Te Aratai College and her expertise.

Welcome Back To Our Learners!

On 6 May we welcomed our students to our new kura, Te Aratai College! We felt privileged to be in such a fabulous venue. After a brief assembly students were shown around the school. There were lots of comments about how we were at such a flash school!

The Property Industry Awards are unique in that they do not just recognise innovative design and construction, but also assess nominees on their economic and social contribution, sustainability, vision and owner and user satisfaction.

The judging panel were impressed with the school's connection to its community, with a "Creativity and Innovation block to house a wide variety of Science, Technology and Arts-focused teaching spaces, catering to both in-house and the surrounding Primary and Intermediate schools, in lieu of the facilities they don’t have. The campus also included a wharenui, multipurpose hall and gymnasium to bring together the local and wider community for cultural, sporting and other community events."
